Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade Review

IMG_0332

I find that finding the best brow product is a lot like being Goldilocks in Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Everything is either too chalky, too harsh or not enough. There’s usually something wrong with application, packaging, pigmentation, the list goes on. Dipbrow pomade just may be the answer to our prayers to the Fleek Gods. (eyebrows on fleek reference for anyone who doesn’t understand my already difficult to understand humor)

What It Claims:

This creamy, multitasking product glides on skin and hair smoothly to create clean, defined brows. The standout formula works as a brow primer and provides color, sculpture, and shading. It is ideal for oily skin and in humid climates.

What It Does:

Gliding smoothly like butter on a warm pan, this product glides beautifully onto the skin to achieve the perfect brow look – no gaps, no harsh lines, and a whole array of colors to make your brows look natural! The color is intensely pigmented while seamlessly blending in with the hairs. It works great for all skin types – it looks just as good on my dry skin as it does on bloggers with oily skin. This really may be the be-all-end-all brow product guys.

Application:

In this category, dipbrow wins all of the rounds! It doesn’t drag, applies smoothly, and you don’t even need to buy the $18 dollar brush to go along with it. I’ve tried other brow products in the past, dipbrow had the smoothest application by far. Of course, because the product itself is a pomade, meaning that it’s a mousey gel consistency, which is great since pencils can look too harsh and powders can look too chalky, diprow pomade looks just right.

I wanted to add that this product should work great for beginners. It’s easy to apply an fool proof. Just follow the shape of your brow to outline, slowly thickening with light strokes if needed. Fill it in with a very light hand and you should be good to go! I recently purchased it for my aunt, who has very sparse brows and can’t seem to find a product she loves, I’ll be sure to update you on how she feels about it!

IMG_0839I use the ELF Small Angled Brush to apply mine and it gives me the perfect shape to fill in my brow properly – from the arches to the front of the brow, the brushes slight angle actually helps way more than it would seem.

Packaging

I can’t really give points for this one as it is just basic packaging with the company’s emblem on it. Nice color scheme and a minimal look. This would be a lot better if it came with the brush (smaller version perhaps) and if the cap maybe opened into a mirror). However, keeping in mind that those additions would end up bringing the price way up, I’ll take the pomade as it is.

Overall Rating : 9/10

Where to purchase it: Sephora, Ulta, Anastasia Beverly Hills website

Would I repurchase: Yes. In a heart beat.
