August Beauty Haul

Working at a beauty store (update coming soon), I am now constantly surrounded and bombarded by new and fun beauty products, so of course I get sucked in  to purchasing some of them. Alas, this haul. This haul is combination of me trying beauty things I see at work, things I was simply out of and also things that were recommended to me by the Urban Decay national makeup artist, Ehren, who gave me a makeover and suggested some UD products for me.

Becca Ultimate Coverage Concealer Cream in Banana $32

This is the absolute perfect shade of concealer however I will unfortunately be returning this to Ulta as I can’t stand that I have to dip my finger (or a brush) into the product and plus I just read that Becca is coming out with their Aqua Luminous rage (my favorite foundation!) in a concealer that has a proper applicator which will be out at Ulta later this month so this is going right back.

Urban Decay Brow Beater ($20) and Urban Decay Naked Skin Corrector Pink ($28)

Ehren SLAYED my eyebrows, so I bought whatever he used on me and these two items were what he used to get my eyebrows from “ok” to “oh hey!”. This Urban Decay Brow Beater is much like a brow whiz in how thin it is, leaving fine strokes that look just like hair. The Naked Skin corrector is great for covering under eye circles or, as Ehren used it, to carve out the brow and keep the area looking radiant.

Naked 24/7 Glide-On Double-Ended Eye Pencil (Crave/Venus) $18

This pencil I bought for my makeup pouch so that I would get two colors in one on-the-go product. This pencil comes in Venus and Crave with one being black and one being a gorgeous opalescent champagne color, as shown in the swatches above. The only bummer of course being that you have to sharpen the pencil, but other than that this gorgeous duo is perfect.

Lorac Take Me To Tantego $30

I had been eyeing this at Ulta for a while but when I saw Desi Perkins review it I knew I should just do it. I love this bronzer palette, I had recently bought the ELF bronzer palette, but that honestly does not hold a candle to this. I love that this comes with a brush and the colors are creamy and even the lightest shade shows up nicely. These colors can be built up well and although I generally don’t like warm shades these are so flattering.

Bh Cosmetics X Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow and Highlight Palette $14.50

Again, I was nervous in purchasing this with all of the warm tones, but this is probably the best $15 I’ve ever spent. I came across this while about to check out at Ulta and the pigmentation is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I’ve tried BH cosmetics before and I love the eyeshadow formula but was worried about the highlighters (swatched above) but with one swipe of a finger, with no pressure, these came out so pigmented I grabbed the palette and went straight to the checkout before I could think twice. The colors are gorgeous and I’m so glad I came across this.

Cover Fx Custom Enhancer Drops in Sunlight $42

I’m not going to say much about these at all because I want to do a full blog post review about these next week but GURL. YAS.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick $17

I received these as gratis – Big Bang, 713 and Backtalk – and am obsessed. 713 is a bit more orange of a red for my taste, but Big Bang and Backtalk are right up my alley. I’ve worn Big Bang twice now and it is the most gorgeous sparkly pink lipstick ever. I never would have picked it out for myself but am so glad I received it – just goes to show you never know what you may love if you don’t step out of your comfort zone.

Lastly, I have some samples to share. I’ve never tried a setting spray besides the Mac Fix+ but I spray the All Nighter every day when I get to work so I am glad to have these minis for my bag. Also, this bright pink lipgloss sample in the shade Savage is giving me major Barbie vibes.

Look forward to some more hauls and the Cover FX review coming very soon. As always, thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed!
