FAVE FIVE MET GALA 2018

The Met Gala is my favorite night in fashion, probably because I am one of those people that totally loves themes. And, I get really agitated when someone doesn’t follow a theme. I’m not even going to beat around the bush, I need Selena Gomez banned from the Met Gala. How many passes will we give the girl?! She has been on my worst dressed list for too many consecutive years.

Anyway, this post is not about SelGo, but rather about who donned the most heavenly outfits on, arguably, fashion’s biggest night.

I will present to you my Fave Five for Met Gala 2018 – Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.

1.) Stella Maxwell

The effortless hair and makeup paired with this exquisite and perfectly on theme Moschino gown ranks this VS model as my favorite look of the night.

2.) Zendaya

Who but Zendaya could have possibly pulled off this gorgeous ensemble inspired by Joan of Arc. From the hair, to the jewelry and even the placement of where her skin shows through … this look was a jaw dropper for sure. In a night full of golden looks, Zendaya’s silver Versace outfit made her shine.

3.) Blake Lively

Blake popped up on best dressed lists all over the blogosphere and for good reason. The leading lady never disappoints in terms of fashion (or really, anything) and this custom Versace had me awestruck.

4.)  Jasmine Sanders

Jasmine’s first Met Gala look was such a stunner that I need her to start showing that beautiful face at other red carpets as well. Here she is, a golden goddess, in her H&M gown. This look lands her at #4 because the styling is something I could not get out of my head. That hair tho!

5.) Olivia Munn

This look is both sexy nun and goddess at the same time. This armor inspired custom H&M gown and headpiece have Olivia looking lavish but also not going over the top. I love how simple but effective the head drape is and really wish more stars on the carpet used this styling technique. I mean, come on! How stunning would Kim have looked if she added something like this to her own simple gold gown.

How crazy is it that H&M took 2 out of 5 spots! You’ll notice none of the Kardash-Jenners made it onto my list. I was quite underwhelmed by all of their outfits and look forward to the next Met for them to redeem themselves. Quite a few people should repent actually as I did see some ungodly fashions soiling the sanctity of the red carpet on Monday night.
