Spring is in the air – mostly because these fragrances are being sprayed into it.
I had the absolute honor to be invited to the Spring Showcases by Coty fragrances and L’Oreal Luxe to experience (and receive! ) their newest spring fragrance launches. I learned a lot about the stories behind the fragrances – who the perfumers were, how the fragrances came to be, the emotions they are meant to evoke, stories about the packaging and of course, an in-depth dive into the notes.
After learning it all and most importantly, smelling it all, I present to you my top 3 picks for the newest fragrances launches this Spring.
Gucci Acqua Di Fiori
Notes of ….
- Top: Green Galbanum, Cassis Buds
- Middle notes: Jasmine Buds, Rangoon Creeper, Tuberose
- Bottom notes: Musk, Sandalwood
Acqua Di Fiori is the fragrance that I know I will be transitioning from Spring into summer. The scent is so fresh, it is so clean, it is so light… it is such a contrast to the original Gucci Bloom which I am not a fan of but I just wanted the bottle so bad. Like, aesthetics bro. Here, I get the best of both worlds with the beautiful bottle and a fresh scent that I adore.
The Green Galbanum is so aptly named because its addition to this juice makes the fragrance smell so green. That was the first word that came into my mind when I first smelled this. Gucci wanted the fragrance to smell like a garden in rain and Alessandro Michele and Alberto Morillas perfected that scent and perfectly bottled it.
Giorgio Armani Si Passione
Notes of …
- Top Notes: Sparkling Pear
- Heart Notes: Rose
- Base Notes: Woody Vanilla
I am already such a big fan of the classic Giorgio Armani Si fragrance – I’ve already got the EDP in my collection as well as the Si Rose edition and this one is such a beautiful add on to my collection. To be completely honest, I am enamored with the beautiful red bottle. The fragrance inside is not my favorite version of Si, although I do like it its not something I see myself wearing as the notes turn on me, however it is a beautiful fragrance that I do completely recommend. Also, I am proud to say that this fragrance is a Macy’s exclusive until July.
Marc Jacobs Daisy In Love
Notes of …
- Top Notes: Crystallized cloudberries
- Middle Notes: Petals from the Daisy tree Base
- Notes: Driftwoods & cashmere musk
This one is my top choice of the bunch. You have to smell it to know. I highly recommend you pop into your nearest department store and give this a sniff. I am not a fan of the Daisy franchise of fragrances – the smells are basic and boring to me, but this scent is anything but. I don’t know what the hell crystallized cloudberries are but they sure smell great. I am anticipating for this to be my most worn fragrance for this Spring.
What are your favorite Spring fragrances this year? Have you tried any of these?
