Let me start off by saying, this product was so overhyped to me at my Sephora. Apparently, the makeup artist for MUFE had tested this product on Cirque Du Soleil performers to test it’s longevity in the most extreme of conditions. Right then and there, I was sold. This product is as a big a lie as the big tent of the circus.
“This highly pigmented waterproof, smudge- and fade-resistant eyeliner is formulated to glide on effortlessly and withstand
the most extreme conditions. It stays put on eyelids without melting for precise application and intense color throughout the day. Aqua Eyes doubles as a shadow – just smudge it out.” (makeupforever.com)
It applies like any other eyeliner and it’s pigmentation is just as good as any other drugstore pencil liner. However, after 30-60 minutes, I find myself having to reapply – and I’m not even walking on a trapeze or being tossed from one person to another. I’m merely going about my day, yet this liner cannot catch up.
I put this directly on my waterline, since it is aqua eyes and its meant to stay put, but it simply does not.
CONS: – No longevity. The “cirque du soleil” claim is not something I believe, this liner can barely stay put while I’m in lecture.
– It’s not waterproof. I do not care what the website says, this does not last on my waterline.
– As you can see above, the pigmentation is average.
– Packaging. It’s not retractable so you end up with too thick of a line sometimes.
To wrap up this post, everything the website promises about the product is a lie.
