TRANSITIONS: Summer to Fall Lookbook

My last transitional lookbook had major success so I decided I wanted to keep them coming! This lookbook is focused completely on how to dress if you maybe live in a  warmer area but still want to incorporate fall vibes in your outfits or if it isn’t quite yet fall where you live, but the temperatures are dropping.

I have three looks in this edition that I am totally FALLing for…. ok I’ll stop.

Previous lookbook:

Look 1

An outfit like this is great as you can recycle your favorite summer pieces, like a white tee and a pair of shorts and give the look a fall feel by adding a lightweight leather jacket, some booties and a statement belt.

White Tee: Awake by Kohl’s

Distressed Denim Shorts: Hollister’s The Festival Short

Belt: Iloveshowpo

Blue Leather: Forever 21

Chelsea Booties: Payless for only $10

Look 2

A longer black dress will take you through any season. For a fall look, I paired the dress with a wide hat. This look is perfect for those 80 degree + days, when sometimes a jacket is overkill. A great way to transition your look without necessarily switching out of last season’s clothing items is to pay attention to the colors. Keeping this look monochromatic with just black gives it a darker look perfect for fall.

Dress & Hat: Forever 21

Bralette: Missguided

Bag: H&M

Platforms: BCBG

Look 3

My personal favorite, this look breaks one major style rule: pairing black with brown. Personally I feel that rule has gone the way of the “white after labor day” rule and filed itself in the old-school way of thinking. This look is chic in its color pairing which is totally appropriate for fall, especially with the suede shorts and shoes.

Love this post! I wish I lived somewhere with a warmer climate but I alas I actually have to dress for fall weather these days…
